Situation
The Company’s management team had grown the Company quickly and profitably and was looking to diversify their assets either through a growth recapitalization or through a sale of the Company to a strategic buyer. RentClicks engaged Croft & Bender to advise the Company through a dual-track process which included valuing the Company, identifying both potential venture capital investors as well as potential acquirers, drafting the offering memorandum, marketing the Company, evaluating offers regarding both a minority investment and a sale, selecting a partner, and negotiating the transaction.

Result
Croft & Bender successfully sold RentClicks to Haas Publishing Company (a division of PRIMEDIA).
