Situation
The Chief Executive Officer of BPG (who was also the President of the two target businesses) approached Croft & Bender to identify the acquisition capital necessary to become the "Stalking Horse" bid for LandAmerica Home Warranty and LandAmerica Property Inspection Services. Both companies were subsidiaries of a bankrupt parent, LandAmerica, that was going through a 363 sale process.

Result
After Croft & Bender pulled together information on BPG and identified and contacted numerous interested parties that could act quickly, The Stephens Group, LLC (TSG) was chosen to lead the transaction. BPG, along with TSG and Croft & Bender, submitted the successful Stalking Horse bid and subsequently won the auction. C&B Capital also participated in the transaction.
